Today Lead futures drop 0.58% on diminishing demand

 
Lead futures were trading lower during morning trade in the domestic market on Friday as investors and speculators cut down their positions in the industrial metal amid subdued physical demand for lead, from battery-makers, in the domestic spot market.

Further, a downward trend in physical demand from battery-makers in the domestic spot market, influenced prices of lead at futures trade.

At the MCX, lead futures for March 2017 contract is trading at Rs 153.45 per kg, down by 0.58 per cent, after opening at Rs 153.30, against a previous close of Rs 154.35. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 153.20

Today Lead futures surge as Demand picks up in market

 
Lead futures jumped over 1 per cent during morning trade in the domestic market on Friday as investors and speculators widened their bets in the industrial metal amid pick up in physical demand for lead, from battery-makers, in the domestic spot market.

Further, an upward trend in physical demand from battery-makers in the domestic spot markets, supported lead prices at futures trade.

At the MCX, lead futures for December 2016 contract is trading at Rs 134.15 per kg, up by 1.09 per cent, after opening at Rs 133.70, against a previous close of Rs 132.70. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 134.40.

Lead slip during morning trade in the domestic market


Lead futures were trading lower during morning trade in the domestic market on Tuesday as investors and speculators indulged in trimming their positions in the industrial metal amid diminishing physical demand for lead, from battery-makers, in the domestic spot market.

Further, a downward trend in physical demand from battery-makers in the domestic spot market, influenced prices of lead at futures trade.

At the MCX, lead futures for December 2016 contract is trading at Rs 145.45 per kg, down by 0.72 per cent, after opening at Rs 145.30, against a previous close of Rs 146.50. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 145.30

lead futures lifts by 1.13% for Spot demand in market

 
Lead futures rose during morning trade in the domestic market on Thursday as investors and speculators extended their positions in the industrial metal amid surge in physical demand for lead, from battery-makers, in the domestic spot market.

Further, an upward trend in physical demand from battery-makers in the domestic spot market, supported prices of lead at futures trade.

At the MCX, lead futures for December 2016 contract is trading at Rs 161.60 per kg, up by 1.13 per cent, after opening at Rs 162.05, against a previous close of Rs 159.80. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 162.20 .

Lead futures up on spot demand during the morning trade

 
Lead futures were trading higher during the morning trade in the domestic market on Thursday on rising demand from battery makers.

Furthermore, a firming trend in base metals overseas supported the upside in metal prices.

At the MCX, lead futures for October 2016 contract is trading at Rs 133.35 per kg, up by 0.11 per cent, after opening at Rs 133.20, against a previous close of Rs 133.20. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 133.45.

Today Lead futures up 0.74% on Robust demand in Market

 
Lead futures were trading higher during the morning trade in the domestic market on Thursday as participants started building up fresh positions in the industrial metal on account of increase in physical demand for lead, from battery-makers, in the domestic spot market.

Further, a rise in demand from battery-makers in the domestic spot market, supported prices of lead at the domestic spot markets.

At the MCX, lead futures for September 2016 contract is trading at Rs 130.10 per kg, up by 0.74 per cent, after opening at Rs 129.85, against a previous close of Rs 129.15. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 130.20 .

Lead Updates - Lead bites the dust on Tepid Physical Demand


Lead Updates - Lead futures fell during noon trade in the domestic market on Wednesday as investors and speculators exited positions in the industrial metal amid weak physical demand for lead, from battery-makers, in the domestic spot market.

A renewed slump in global equity markets and an extended slide in oil soured the appetite for risky assets, also weighing on the industrial metal.
 
A third straight drop in German business confidence in February signaled a worsening outlook for Europe’s biggest economy, dimming the demand prospects for metals. The gauge measuring German business sentiment fell to 105.7 in February from 107.3 in January.
 
At the MCX, Lead futures for February 2016 contract were trading at Rs.115.75 per 1 kg, down by 1.03 per cent, after opening at Rs. 116.25, against the previous closing price of Rs. 116.95. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 115.6.

Evening Updates - Lead rises 0.94 pct on drop in stockpiles


Lead prices rose by 0.94 per cent on Thursday at the domestic markets due to the decline in the lead stockpiles at the London Metal Exchange (LME) on account of the strong demand for the commodity. LME lead stocks fell by 975 metric tonnes to 185100 metric tonnes as on February 4, 2016.

At the MCX, Lead futures, for the February 2016 contract, is trading at Rs 123.60 per kg, up by 0.94 per cent, after opening at Rs 123.55, against a previous close of Rs 122.45. It touched an intra-day high of Rs 124.25 till the trading.
 
Prices also rose due to high demand from battery-makers and other consuming industries at the domestic spot market as well as a strong trend at the global market.

Evening Updates - Lead Dips Amid weak Overseas Trend


Lead Tips - Lead prices fell by 0.27 per cent on Monday at the domestic markets as a result of low demand for the commodity from battery-maker in the spot market in the midst of weak overseas trend.

At the MCX, Lead futures, for the January 2016 contract, is trading at Rs 110.45 per kg, down by 0.27 per cent, after opening at Rs 110.15, against a previous close of Rs 110.75. It touched an intra-day low of Rs 110.10 till the trading. (At 3.30 PM today). However, losses were curbed due to the decline in the lead stockpiles at the London Metal Exchange (LME) on account of the strong demand for the commodity. LME lead stocks fell by 825 metric tonnes to 187900 metric tonnes as on January 25, 2016.

Evening Update - Lead Gains On Drop In Inventories


Lead prices rose by 0.64 per cent on Friday at the domestic markets due to a decline in lead stockpiles at the London Metal Exchange (LME) on account of the strong demand for the commodity. LME lead stocks fell by 100 metric tonnes to 191175 metric tonnes as on January 8, 2016.

At the MCX, Lead futures, for the January 2016 contract, is trading at Rs 110.90 per kg, up by 0.64 per cent, after opening at Rs 109.90, against a previous close of Rs 110.20. It touched an intra-day high of Rs 111.25 till the trading.
 
Sentiment improved further due to high demand from battery-makers and other consuming industries at the domestic spot market as well as a srong trend at the global market.

Lead drops 1.52% on weak industrial Demand



Lead prices fell by 1.52 per cent on Monday at the Domestic markets as a result of low demand for the commodity from battery-maker in the spot market in the midst of weak overseas trend. At the MCX, Lead futures, for the December 2015 contract, is trading at Rs 116.75 per kg, down by 1.52 per cent, after opening at Rs 117.45, against a previous close of Rs 118.55. It touched an intra-day low of Rs 115.85 till the trading. (At 3.30 PM today).
 
The London Metal Exchange (LME) lead stocks remained unchanged at 191650 metric tonnes as on January 4, 2016.

Lead Gains 1.16% Owing to High Demand from industries


Lead prices rose by 1.16 per cent on Monday at the domestic markets as a result of high demand for the commodity from battery-maker in the spot market in the midst of strong overseas trend.

At the MCX, Lead futures, for the December 2015 contract, is trading at Rs 113.10 per kg, up by 1.16 per cent, after opening at Rs 112.05, against a previous close of Rs 111.80. It touched an intra-day high of Rs 116.05 till the trading.
 
However, gains were limited due to the surge in the lead stockpiles at the London Metal Exchange (LME) on account of the weak demand for the commodity. LME lead stocks rose by 12525 metric tonnes to 191825 metric tonnes as on December 21, 2014.

Base Metal Tips - Lead futures were trading higher during noon trade in the domestic market on Monday as investors and speculators booked fresh positions in the industrial metal amidst a pickup in physical demand for Lead in the domestic market.

A rebound in German factory orders in October signaled a fastening recovery in Europe’s biggest economy, bolstering the demand outlook for the industrial metal. German factory bookings climbed for the first time in four months, up by 1.8 per cent in October over the previous month, while industrial output rose 0.2 per cent from September, when it had dipped 1.1 per cent.

At the MCX, Lead futures for December 2015 contract is trading at Rs 113.10 per 1 kg, up by 0.22 per cent after opening at Rs 112.80, against the previous closing price of Rs 112.85. It touched the intra-day high of 113.40.

Lead Falls On Weak Industrial Demand

Base Metal Tips - Lead prices fell by 0.05 per cent on Friday at the domestic markets as a result of low demand for the commodity from battery-maker in the market in the midst of weak overseas trend. At the MCX, Lead futures, for the December 2015 contract, is trading at Rs 111.05 per kg, down by 0.05 per cent, after opening at Rs 111.05, against a previous close of Rs 111.10. It touched an intra-day down of Rs 110.65 till the trading.
 
However, losses were limited due to the decline in the lead stockpiles at the London Metal Exchange (LME) on account of the strong demand for the commodity. LME lead stocks fell by 175 metric tonnes to 127950 metric tonnes as on December 4, 2014.
