Cardamom futures were trading higher during the morning trade in the domestic market on Thursday as traders widened their positions led by rise in demand in the spot market.
Further, rise in demand in the spot market amid restricted supplies from producing regions following end of the harvesting season, too fuelled the uptrend.
At the MCX, Cardamom futures for July 2016 contract is trading at Rs 862.70 per kg, up by 0.28 per cent, after opening at Rs 862, against a previous close of Rs 860.30. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 864.
