
Chana prices closed higher 0.39 per cent on Thursday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as the traders enlarged their holdings in the commodity on account of the good demand in the market. At NCDEX, chana futures for June 2015 contract closed at Rs. 4,686 per quintal, up by 0.39 per cent, after opening at Rs. 4,668 against the previous closing price of Rs. 4,676. It touched the intra-day maximum of Rs. 4,709.
Jeera prices closed lower by 1.16 per cent on Thursday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) on account of a surge in the supply from the producing regions in the midst of a decline in the export demand. At NCDEX, jeera futures for June 2015 contract ended at Rs. 17,410 per quintal, down by 1.16 per cent, after opening at Rs. 17,635 against the previous closing price of Rs. 17,615. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 17,255.
