Stock Market News: Castorseed prices increased by 0.03 %

Stock Market News: Castorseed prices increased by 0.03 % on Monday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as a result of the rise in demand from consuming industries against restricted arrivals in domestic markets which in turn encouraged the investors to enlarge their holdings. At NCDEX, castor seed futures for April 2015 contract were trading at Rs. 3,705/quintal tonnes, upward by 0.03 %, after opening at Rs. 3,703 against the last ending price of Rs. 3,704. It touched the intra-day maximum of Rs. 3,731 till the trading. Castor is a non-edible oilseed crop; basically a cash crop, with average 46 % oil recovery.

Mentha oil prices increased by 0.78 % on Monday at the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) due to tight stocks position in the physical market due to restricted arrivals from producing belts. Mentha oil futures for April 2015 contract, at MCX, were trading at Rs. 935.50/kg, upward by 0.78 % after opening at Rs. 924.30 against the last ending price of Rs. 928.30. It touched the intra-day maximum of Rs. 939.90 till the trading.
